A couple years ago I asked in a poll if you'd rather receive multipler shorter emails or one long email per week. The answer was split down the middle so we went with short and sweet.

Then our email service was bought out and shut down by GoDaddy, which was a major blow. The new service we chose was way cheaper, but only allowed for text emails. In a way I liked that because it felt like getting a real email from me but hey, let's face it, we all like pictures.

Great news! Sendy just upgraded so we can now send fancier emails. So this is our first weekly news email. Hopefully it still feels personable. Look it over and then hit reply and tell me what you like or how it can be better?

New features to watch for:

🆕 Content from the Mussar Center, the other organization I teach from.

🆕 More of YOU - reviews, testimonies, etc. I already do this in my quarterly updates but why wait three months? We have a massive and very enthusiastic community and I want you to feel connected.

🆕 MEMES. Yes, we're bringing these back! Send me your favourites or create some zingers (relevant, of course) and I'll share them here.

🆕 Personal updates and peeks behind the scenes. The Tribe will still be the go-to place for personal glimpses and insights you won't get anywhere else, but I'll try sharing a little more here too so you can get to know the real me.

What do you think? If you love this, would you forward to at least one person so they can sign up here? My goal is to double our email list from around 8,000 to 16,000. Will you help? 😄

📈 Judith ➜ Michael ➜ Jacob ➜ Noah ➜ ❓ How Do Generational Baby Names Prophesy What Happens Next? 👶

WHAT IF the most popular baby names of a generation aren’t random? Why did Judith rise alongside the Zionist awakening? Why did Michael dominate for decades, followed by Jacob — and then Noah? Could these names be telling a story about the generations themselves?

In this new series, we’re going to follow those names through the last hundred years and ask a much bigger question: could a generation’s top names reveal something deeper in the present, and possibly even give us a glimpse of the future?

But first: why take that idea seriously at all? In this introduction we go back to the Tanakh and ancient Jewish tradition to explore the belief that parents receive divine inspiration when naming their children — and the remarkable biblical statement that God “calls the generations from the beginning.”

Even if you don't watch the lesson, I hope you'll enjoy this song inspired by it, FREE.

Behind the Scenes

When you want to do what Jesus would do but do not like Judaism memeBack in February, as I was doing research for the First-Century Siddur, I stumbled upon an annual Bible reading plan used by the early church. There was even evidence it was originally on the Jewish calendar! From then until last month, every Shabbat I followed that thread through over 70 books and 24,000 pages. God-willing we'll be releasing a daily audio Bible podcast with this schedule in the next couple weeks, and possibly also a book and video course presenting this research, all called NONSTOP BIBLE.

In my daily work, I continue with the final stage of the 713 commandments of the New Testament, putting together sets of related commandments. This is the second pass, and I only have 140 left! I'm able to do about 10 a day, so you do the math how much longer before we can take this to press.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. The only reason I'm able to do what *I* am called to do is because of *you*.

Shabbat shalom!
